Mushroom Ready-to-Fruit Block – Shiitake

$35.00

Shitaki takes a while to start pinning and fruiting. Most of the work is done for you already 🙂

Take off the whole bag once when you see the mushrooms pinning out (little bumps which are baby mushrooms, referring 6th picture) or the block has turned mostly dark brown before pinnings show up.

Often it turns brown before pinnings happen. Leave it in cool shady place and apply mist to it at least twice a day.

You may need a knife cut off from the bottom of root.

After each harvest, let it rest for one week, then soak in cold water for 24 hours (less hours in summer and more in winter) and repeat this soaking  after each flush. For easier matenance, you can bury whole shiitaki block after the first or two flushes into soil or compost in shady area or in a pot and just water it to keep it moistured(referring 4th,5th picutre).

You can harvest   three times and even more.
